Hope is Fading

As I write hope is fading that the judicial system of the United States is capable or willing to ensure justice for Terri Schiavo. The US federal circuit appeal court has rejected her parent's plea for her life. She has been refused drink and food since approximately 2 pm last Friday. She is dying.

The courts have consistently blocked all everts to save her life.

In a new development this afternoon:
The Governor of Florida, Jeb Bush, just completed a press conference with Tampa Bay media. He says that the Department of Children and Families, through Adult Protective Services are conducting an investigation of abuse against Terri Schiavo. As part of that, a neurologist by the name of Dr. Cheshire, observed Terri, lengthy videos of her and her case record. He has concluded that she is not in a persistent vegetative state. Rather, he felt she was minimally conscious if not functioning higher.
This did not stop Judge George Greer from continuing his campaign to kill Terri.
Judge Greer today denied a petition today from the Department of Children and Families for sealed medical records and protective investigation, according to CNN. But, he didn't stop there.

According to CNN, Greer also issued an order that DCF be blocked from access to Terri Schiavo. You read that right. A probate judge telling a Florida agency with the same authority as law enforcement they are not permitted to do their jobs.

From Psalm 22

I am poured out like water.
All my bones are out of joint.
My heart is like wax;
it is melted within me.
My strength is dried up like a potsherd.
My tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth.
You have brought me into the dust of death.
For dogs have surrounded me.
A company of evildoers have enclosed me.
